WORKSHOP INFORMATION
LOCATION
The Workshop Studio is located just off the village green in the small village of Wortham which is four miles southwest of Diss in Norfolk. This is a lovely quiet rural area in the Waveney valley on the border between Norfolk and Suffolk. There are many local attractions nearby if you wish to extend your stay in the area. Wortham is on the A143 road from Bury St Edmunds to Great Yarmouth and not far from the A140 Ipswich to Norwich road.
Diss station is on the main railway line from London Liverpool St to Norwich. Trains run every hour and the journey takes approximately 1 hr 40 minutes. A taxi from the station to Wortham takes about 10 minutes. Alternatively, we may be able to collect you - please contact us about this if you require a lift.
For students coming from outside the area, there are many excellent and reasonably priced B&B's locally. We particularly recommend The Rookery Farm which is in the village, five minutes from the studio and gives our students preferential rates. See their website:
COURSE INFORMATION
On receipt of your booking you will be sent a map and directions to find the studio and a list of recommended local B&B’s if requested. Free tea and coffee are included in the workshop (served frequently!) We will have a 1 hour break for lunch each day. Lunches and snacks are available at the attractive local Tea Shop which is about 5 minutes away around the Green. The Dolphin Inn (5 minutes walk) also has excellent light snacks and lunches. You are also welcome to bring a packed lunch if you prefer.

Please note that the studio is on the first floor up a flight of steps.
