Polymer clay is an excellent material for making mosaics because you can create all your own tiles in the colours you need. Sue describes a quick and easy way of making traditional mosaic tiles (tesserae) and then goes on to give lots of projects using them.
Chapters include Classical mosaics with designs inspired by antiquity; Micromosaics; Pietre Dure (Sue's speciality) and Tile mosaics. Sue's background in archaeology inspired this book and many of the projects are replicas of Roman and Byzantine designs.
