Sue has always specialised in detail and a natural step from her jewellery was into the world of miniatures. Frustrated at the poor standard of miniatures created for dolls houses in the 1980's, she began to push polymer clay in new directions, often mixing it with other materials to create realistic textures and surfaces for all kinds of miniatures from food to wood, metal and ceramics. She has published four books on her work in miniatures which have become standard works.
